VETTING OF PRE- SCHOOL TEACHERS

Omg..... I am so serious, I kid you not.

I strongly believe that  nursery school teachers should seriously be vetted for any ethnic/tribal accents that they may have before being allowed to teach the kids. Am serious.

You know these are the people who educate our  young ones and integrate them into the education system. Its a very very tricky affair, because, the kids see the teacher as an authority figure and believe everything they say, with no second thought!

Why i say this is because yesterday night my young step brother who is in baby class said that they were taught a song in school. So in the spirit to foster the young ones confidence we urged him to sing us the song he learnt at school and this is how he started:

          Eeee....eeeee..eeeee......Embenezer ..... embenezer. . .
embenenezer what a wonder you are,
I love you so much Embenezer...
   embenezer what a
wonder you are....

Waattt....... seriously, Iwas in utter shock... My mouth was ajar through the entire performance,

But i let him finish, gave him an applause and corrected him saying its Ebe-nezer  not Embe- nezer, at that time he was shaking his head furiously saying no its Embe-nezer.

He refused to listen and then shouted, "Teacher alitufundisha, Embe- nezer, sio Ebe- nezer"

When told that, how do u start telling him that the teacher is wrong?

That's why I say, vet the pre-school teachers for ethnic accents before they cause more damage!!!

 Keep Smiling,

Princess Nereah
